Currently, the best of these weight loss supplements are garcinia cambogia and green coffee bean extract. Garcinia Cambogia is a pumpkin-shaped fruit native to Indonesia. Recent Study :
Purdue University gave their study subjects a 400mg does between 30 and 60 minutes before they ate each. They did this for 12 weeks and each subject lost between 6.8 and 8.1 pounds without dieting or exercising more.
Georgetown University did a similar study that lasted 8 weeks. Their subjects lost an average of 5.4% of their bodyweight.
A double blind, placebo trial carried out by Dr Joe A Vinson showed that those who took green coffee bean extract during the study lost 50% more weight than those on the placebo. The study was small, but it lasted for 22 weeks and the weight loss was sustained during that period.
Dr Oz also did a quick study on the product. He took 100 women and gave half a placebo and the other half high quality green coffee bean extract. All of the women were in the study for two weeks and made no changes to their diet or exercise regime. The women on the green coffee bean extract lost twice as much weight at those taking the placebo.
The results of both studies are compelling and very positive. However, it is important to buy the right kind of Garcinia Cambogia.
Any product that has less than 60% HCA in it is not likely to be effective. You need to take quite a high dose of around 800mg to maximise the potential for weight loss.
